Title: Fins On Feathers 05/03/09 Report
Post by: Skolmann on May 03, 2009, 05:02:33 PM
Jason and & I along with Capts. Frank & Jerry were accompanied by Joe, Rich, Ray & Paul for a Sunday morning of clamming up on the bar.

With ideal conditions of outgoing water & a west wind we sat prefectly. Did't take long before Jason put the first keeper of the day on the deck. The first 6 fish were all 30" or better. Never had to wait more than a few minutes until someone was hooked-up. Seems as if the bigger bass wanted to bite first as we had 10 in the box to 36" before the shorts and bluefish took over.

Once we lost the tide, we scouted out a few more spots picking 1 or 2 fish. Went back to our original spot once the tide started moving back in and added another keeper, a few more shorts and more bluefish.

Time to get out there. I'll be at it again with Capt Frank & crew next Saturday afternoon
