Post by: kezsr on September 05, 2007, 07:54:30 PM
left home 6:30 am for Sayreville Ramp, stopped for bait at gas station Sayreville, not open, had to go to Freds on 35,this put us a little behind.on water back bay fishing by 8:30.fished in the channel all day, would pull into middle of channel and the drift for the most part would bring you right down the center of the channel, had fish on every drift, had a lot of shorts just missing the mark, ended up with 6 keepers, fishing buddy Dave getting the biggest at just over 20 inches.never went farther up the bay than the 47 buoy Reach Channel.killies and squid strip bait for the day.had one problem with outboard, wouln't throttle down, was able to adjust to continue fishing, when we got home found clamp loose on cable at throttle lever, was able to tighten and adjust throttle cable and linkeage.beautiful day out there, excellent drift conditions all day, headed for home a little after 2,plan on going again Friday, only a few days left for (http://the fluke season.
