Title: Roosters Flukin 7-17
Post by: Peterooster on July 17, 2008, 07:32:55 PM
Hazy, hot, and humid no wind, slow tide made for difficult drifting conditions this morning. Once the outgoing tide started along the Shrewsbury Channel and the East wind kicked in, Tom and I were able to put four keepers in the box. The keeper Fluke just made 18" and many fish were just short by a ΒΌ". Killies seemed to work well as did Sea Robin strips. We left them biting around noon and headed in to look for some Blueclaw crabs around our slip at Atlantic Highlands harbor. I don't know if the crabs are late this year or someone beat us to them but I only found three to bring home.
