Hello all from Captain Pat Renna
« on: March 18, 2008, 10:21:48 AM »
Hi, my name is Captain Pat "T-Man" Renna. I am a custom tackle manufacturer from Suffiled, Ct and charter boat Captain out of Niantic, CT.

I found this website when it appeared as a link on my website tmancustomtackle.com. I just did my first NJ show last weekend in Somerset and it was excellent.

What a great bunch of hardcore fishermen anxious to learn some new techniques for catching lots of striped bass. Both at my booth and during my seminars I met guys who where really interested in light tackle trolling.

I am looking forward to sharing some fishing reports and a lot of "how to" information with the other members here on nysaltwaterfisherman.com.

Do you have a place here for out of state reporting? Even though I'm fishing in CT & NY waters, a lot of the techniques I use work everywhere so I think the reports would still be informative to all.

Very briefly, I spend most of my fishing hours slow trolling the Tube & Worm and Spoon & Worm. All my trooling is done on light braided combos never using wire or leadcore. When rigged correctly I can still troll down to 45-50ft.

Hope you all get off to a great start this season.... I'll have to wait a bit longer up here on the CT shoreline of Long Island Sound.

Here's a couple pics from last season....

Welcome Aboard T-Man,

I am sure a section can be added,  Rod AKA HotRod would be the man for that job.

Any and all inputs are welcome here as with fishing you know different sections of the coast has different strategies but they all seem to work.  Learning new techniques will only broaden the ability to catch more.

I am glad you had success her in NJ, great going.

Again Welcome Aboard.

Happy Catching

Paul

Welcome.

I'm definitly interested in learning about light tackle trolling.

I'd like to put up a post which shows how I set-up for light tackle trolling & some techniques on boat control, but it will require some pictures of the products I make.

I don't want to break any advertising rules here on the site or have anyone think I'm spaming you.

Is this ok with the mods to put something up???
