Aircraft Reconnaissance found sufficient winds and closed circulation tonight inside Invest 93L. The NHC has upgraded Invest 93L to Tropical Storm Bertha. Bertha is forecast to remain a tropical storm with winds to 50 mph. The track brings the storm towards the East Coast. Track and intensity will change over the next few days. It looks like the storm will stay well off the coast/out to sea, but this could affect water conditions. Updates to come over the next few days.

Bertha remains a disorganized Tropical Storm with 65 mph winds. The forecast track keeps the storm well offshore. Longer period swell at 10-15 seconds will arrive on Tuesday and last until Thursday. Offshore could see some higher seas as well.
