Offshore sea bass departing Friday night January 9 and returning Saturday evening January 10. NOAA and the Weather Channel is not painting a good picture.
What do you think?
Thanks.

Still early, a lot can happen... t^

Not looking all that bad. 2-4 inshore forcast till late Saturday night, them building to 5-6.
Boat will probably still sail if the forcast remains the same.
-
This is from NOAA's Offshore forecast. This is what I am afraid of. The trip is 85 miles out.
SAT
S WINDS INCREASING TO 25 TO 35 KT...THEN SHIFTING TO NW

The boat will not sail if it is 30+ winds. The seas/ wave heights are fine. This time of year the report can change hourly.
-
Like Capt Mike said, reports change rapidly this time of year. Keep your fingers crossed. t^

I know Joe. I love these trips. But they can be very frustrating. You are a slave to the weather radio and the weather channel. Well what can you do. Maybe it wil work out or if not, hopefully there is a next time.

Crossing my fingers for you! Weather always rules, especially this time of the year.
