Title: Things are getting bad$$$$$$$$$
Post by: rugman on February 17, 2009, 04:02:00 PM
I just talked to a guy that I keep my boat at in Greenwood lake  . I keep it there for a few mouths to fish for Walleyes and bass. He told me he is getting all kinds of calls from folks that had there boats on the Hudson and down the shore in a slip. They get $700.00 for my 17' boat and it goes up from there .It looks like people are saving a few bucks and moving up to the lakes. He said that is the first for him. rgmn rgmn

Slip prices vary. If you want a no-frills marina, you can get a slip pretty reasonable. We got a few of them down here in Tuckerton/Little Egg. And with the economy, I'll bet some of the nicer ones might make a deal or two.

I think that people are planning on not traveling this summer, so they are staying close to home and using their boat there!
