Heading down to Vero Beach toward the end of march. Wondering if anyone is familiar with the area and has some info on the fishing this time of year.  If I get out to fish Ill probably be fishing the river.

I fished there about 10 years ago on the Indian River.  I just fished off the dock behind the house we were staying at.  We caught snook, redfish, sea trout, tarpon and a host of various other pan type fish.  Did really well on topwater lures for snook.  I remember using whole fiddler crabs that I caught along the muddy banks tidal line for bait.  Fish really liked them and they were free!  Had a great time.  I saw dolphins and manatees every day there in the water.

You will have a good time and weather was nice end of March begining of April!

I have a freind who lives there . He gives me a weekly report. Right now the Kingfish and Cobia are going off on the oceanside. In another month the best offshore fishing and offshorebottom fishing will occur. Your looking at every species being red hot. Mahi to 50lbs.
