Title: Painting a Tin Boat -Before & After Pics

I re-did a 74 Duranautic 14 offshore. Used wire wheel and small air grinder as it was previously painted a few times with latex.
Once bare, I used Dupont Vari-Prime self etching primer, followed with a Dupont Fill-n-Sand Filler-Primer. Wet-saded that with 400 grit Then I sealed it with a Dupont non-sanding sealer and the topcoat was Dupont's Centari Acrylic Enamel with the Overall Gloss Hardener. The color was leftover from my 72 El Camino, Brown Metallic.
The interior was machine and hand sanded thoroughly and shot with leftover aluminum siding house paint in Cream.
I sold the boat 2-3 years ago and it still looks great.

Nice job.  I have a Duranautic 10' jon boat those things are tanks.

nice job,actually prepping my boat for some painting the last few days,ripping up deck carpeting to paint the deck flooring,if it comes close to your painting I'll be satisfied. t^

Thanks for the compliments. This thing was destined for scrap. I gave the guy $200 for it. It even had the factory side console with pulley steering.
No motor or trailer.

That came out nice.!!
I still have an old rowey thats been a work in progress ... any day now...any day.
