and creative...
Got just about everything ready for the season.
I fitted a cargo rack w/ some rod holds, made up a rod rod rack for the roof, stole Paul's design for a flag pole, been tying teasers, got all the new gear matched up and reels spooled, tied a bunch of rigs and got the new IBSP stickers.

The rack is an alum. cargo rack. i used 2in conduit mounted with SS hardware and rubber couplers at the top. it's not a fancy cooler rack, but it'll serve the purpose.

Flag pole is 3/4in sched. 40 w/ SS eyes, clips and nylon rope.

Roof rack is sched. 40 2in PVC Ts glued together and notched and drilled to pass the butt of the rod thru and hold the reel. Up front is square PVC tube with 3/4in PVC snap couplings. They're secured for now with zip ties and bungees hold the rods in place. I have to paint them and have SS hardware to permently mount them to the roof bars. And have plans to add a lockable bar across the front of the reel foot to secure the rods/reels. But for now, the bungees work well.

Nice job. t^ It should be easy to find you out on the beach with the flag pole, might see you out there one day. <'((((><

Looks really nice ! A straight piece of stainless flat bar across the top on a hinge to lock the rods short term should secure / protect the rods. Nice job. t^

Thanks guys.
If you see the flag flying, stop by and say hello. grtn
The straight SS bar across the front is what i had planned. A small padlock on either either end to secure it all. I'm only 15 minutes from IBSP and usual go right from the house to the sand, so I'm not overly concerned with security. A quick Wawa stop or stop at Grumpy's for bait is about all I do.
