Hi Folks, I purchased a Lowrance LMF-200 fuel flow sensor. I want to hook it up to my Humminbird 917c Gps antenna NMEA leads so I can get MPG readings on the fuel sensor. I already have my gps hooked up to my VHF radio so my DSC can operate. The problem is the the Lowrace connectors are screw type so they are compatable with other Lowrace products. I intend to open the outer jacket of the Lowrance wire and splice into my Humminbird Nmea 2000 data wire. Does anyone know which Lowrance wire is the one to carry the gps data?? Blue, Yellow, orange, or green?? Or does anyone know how I can find out which wire to use?? Thanks, Eddie

Found it!!
I looked on Lowrance's sight and found it in the find your own answer section.
Yellow- transmit data
orange--recieve data
blue -- not applicable
shield form signal ground,
They don't make it easy unless you have a full lowrace package. chrz

Good luck with the install hunter 2, I too want to install that fuel flow unit also, but I do have a lowrance chartplotter, but I'm going to get the whole set up with the gauge. I think it will be easier for me to look at the gauge then then fumble around and get the display on the chartplotter. Let us know how you made out.

I purchased the guage too but I needed the nmea200 gps info from my Humminbird chartplotter to give gps info to the Lowrance guage.

Oh, ok. I read a little about it on lowrance's website, I thought all you needed was the sensor installed near the engine and then those wires go into the gauge. I guess its a little complicated. When I get mine I'll have to ask you some questions if I get stuck. Thanks.
