Title: water is 48.6 tonight
Post by: barrell on April 02, 2009, 10:31:46 PM
Its time water temp was over 48 tonight thats when things historicaly take off. I went out to a bridge and realized I forgot my mirage drive and had to ols school and use a paddle. I dont miss paddling at all I hated every minute of trying to fish a bridge with a paddle. Saw some bait marks but no bass didnt stay long.

Great on the Mirage drive I was hoping that it would of felt more comfortable but it was not.  That is the reason I went conventional.

As far as the temps up here in the upper BB the temps were a few degrees warmer.  I took temps with a mercury thermometer at different depths and I was averaging around 52 deg. on the east side of the bay and up to close to 54 on the western side of the bay.  There was an east wind so it makes scene.  I thought it was a bit warm so I double checked the sea surface maps and sure enough they matched.  I will be going out tomorrow once again to see the difference with the rain and cooler temps.
