I'm looking to get a new outfit for trout fishing. I've pretty much decided on a 6' St Croix Triumph for the rod.
I was looking at the U.S Reels SX 180. They have an extra large spool that's supposed to make for longer casts and eliminate twist...
Anybody know anything about these reels?
-
All I know is that they are not made in the US...But then again what really is these days. nosmly

I noticed...China. At least it's a US company...

B&B,
Too bad you didn't mention it sooner. You could have gotten one of the discounted rods St. Croix donated to the site. In any case, for a limited time, if you buy your St. Croix at Dick's they'll throw in a free hoody. t^

Thanks for the info bucktail. Are all the Dick's stores doing that?
-
Yeah, they should be. What store are you close to?
-
Probably Edison.

OK, I'm pretty sure the promotion is still running. I'll check for sure and get back to you.

I have a 180SX US reel. This reel casts further than my long nose reels! Plus its light weight and fewer tangles. I love it for Bass fishing and panfishing. Buy one.
