Post by: Skolmann on April 07, 2009, 10:57:27 AM
Any recommendations on a moderately priced, good quality, reliable deep fryer?

My family bought me this deep fryer for xmas.  Works really well.

Pros
Heats up fast.
Clean up easy.
Digital read out for temp.

Cons
Takes 1 gallon of oil to fill.
Kids are always bugging me to make buffalo wings.
Wife bugging about eating fried food.

Doc, If you are a Costco member I saw a nice one there, don't remember the brand but it did not take a gallon of oil, check out their website

I really like this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Emerilware-FR7009001-7-Liter-Fryer-T-Fal/dp/B000J6DXHW

It has a reservoir for the oil after use and the ability to filter it each time you drop the oil. Everything but the element and brain can be run through the dishwasher.
