Fished at the top of the mast in Seaside Heights EARLY yesterday morning, had a few taps between me and my 2 buddies. No luck though. It was awesome to be back on the sand in time for sunrise my first time fishing in NJ since I came back from mexico.
The current was ripping hard south with some residual seaweed scraps in the water, took 8 oz to hold bottom. Bait was clams and bunker.
And I must say, I now love grumpy's bait and tackle . Paul is a riot. rofla

Yep, Paul is one of the hardest working guys around and deserves a lot of credit. If you can stop buy as there are a lot of guys stop around early in the AM and chat and have coffee together. We break up around 10ish before Grumpy (aka Tommy) arrives well at least most do. To me these guys are as willing as we all are here to share their knowledge open and freely. And I love the conversations with all three of them.
Happy Catching

Hi TIEDROPE, do you go in there often? I am usually in there in the morning to watch as everyone scatters when Grumpy enters the door. Pretty funny stuff.

Yeah, I am one of the regulars there, I find if they don't have what you are looking for they can get it in no time through their B&T networking ability. Says a lot for them.
