I have recently read a fantastic book on shark fishing written by Captain Mark Sampson.
Capt. Sampson brings his more then 30 years experience as a shark fishing guide right to your hands in this informative and enlightening publication. He debunks some of the myths associated with these amazing creatures and explains the truth their behaviors.
He covers everything from species identification, to rigs, chum, safety, cleaning, cooking, preserving jaws, and conservation. I've read a lot of fishing books and this one I would recommend to anyone interested in improving their success rate while shark fishing. <'((((><

Good one Darren. I was referring to off the surf. :P
But now that you mentioned it I have heard of some nice size sharks out back plus there are a lot of rays as well. Man I can't wait to get back there on a regular basis this year.
