grtnBeen awhile since ive posted. pretty busy up here at school and the end of the semester, but outside of school work its been pretty fun. Im finally getting to go fishing for school, pretty cool... So ive got some pictures for ya from a couple commercial fishing trips i was on for research, and then Ive also got pictures from the fishing clubs deep sea charter trip.
The first picture is the cages we use for the research. We are working with the new england aquarium and studying bycatch mortality in the little skate.
In the second picture were hauling in the otter trawl. This one was filled with all sorts of flounder

the crew at eastmans dock was awsome. those guys were a class act and really made for an enjoyable day. the captain worked hard to put us on the fish and everyone caught something by the end of the day and went home with a hefty bag full of filets
