Title: Fluke recipe I mixed together
Post by: fishon42 on June 18, 2009, 08:54:07 AM
Muzers Fluke Recipe!!  (probably been used before)

Alright, my girlfreind and her grandmother told me they would only eat the fish that I cooked if it was breaded/fried, what not. Well, I wanted to try something different then frying my fluke (which is the best in my opinion).

Ingredients
 Lemon Juice
 tbsp Thyme seasoning
 tbsp Minced Garlic
 tbsp Old Bay fish seasoning
 tsp paprika
tsp or tbsp Lemon and Pepper seasoning

I took a small container that I save from the chinese place that I get my food in from there. Squirt some lemon juice (I like to use alot), throw in your tyhme, add the minced garlice, add the old bay, add little paprika, and then add some lemon and pepper (from a shaker).

I like to put the fillets in the container a little wet, not much, but just so the flavor really sinks into the fish. Put the top on,and shake it up realllllllll good. I let it sit for like 20 minutes or while I take a shower or something so it marinates nicely.

You can grill it or you can use the stove. I like to use the stove this way I can just flip it when I want and check it out easier to make sure its done. Lots of butter in that pan! I cook it on Medium heat and it takes about 7-8 minutes.

Yummmmmmmmmmy!

Gotta have cream corn with it and/or baked beans! t^

Sounds really good!  I bet your marinate/seasoning will go good with a lot of different types of seafood!  I am going to try that combo with some shrimp...since I never have any fluke or flounder :P.

Everyone has different tastes and what not, but I think other than being fried this is my favorite other way to eat fluke, and like pfishingruven said, it sounds like itd be good with shrimp. Now that I have some more fluke from yesterday in my freezer, looks like ill be experimenting some more tomorrow. If anyone tries this out, please let me know how it came out, I love cooking and will fix everything up so its perfect!  t^
