Hi All,

I will be out of the Manasquan port.

Right now, conditions look ok, after a few years of brutal conditions. Last year was a joke ...

Best wishes,

Capt. Ed

They tourney is this Saturday.  Sorry, but I have a full crew.  You are allowed a 6 man crew.

The grand prize, boat, motor and trailer, will be won by someone the following Friday at the awards ceremony.  You do not have to even catch a fish to win this prize, only show up for the awards ceremony.  They pick a number out of the basket and they are the winner of the boat.

I am in. I will be fishing the Great Bay Port. I placed in the top ten last year and got a nice deep water fluking set up.  :)

i didn't enter.  I was just wondering if there was someone who did enter, I would fish with you guys, OR, if you entered, we can use my ride.

I never had the chance to do the foot work for this tourny.  This offer stands for someone who already is in the process of winnning some money, but didn't finish organizing the details...

Hi All,

This tournament always brings the bad weather.

SAT
NW WINDS 10 TO 15 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO 20 KT. SEAS 2 TO 3 FT.
A CHANCE OF MORNING SHOWERS AND TSTMS.

Friday night does not look much better.

If you are planning to fish tight to the beach or in rivers, hope the rain is not heavy. if it is, have a Plan B at the ready. The runoff kills fishing, at least in my area.

Hope NOAA weather is wrong ...

Splendid,

Capt. Ed

Capt Ed,
The NW wind should be ok to fish close to the beach.  Of course, as you get further out it will be a bit bouncy.  As long as the rain hold off we should be able to fish.  Let's keep our fingers crossed.
If I remember right, NOAA was wrong with a weather report once before.  Ahem. (ONCE?)  haha. More like most of the time!  TT^

Hi Joe an all,

The weather folks on TV have this thing moving through Friday night with scattered showers.

That looks better to me!

Are you going to be out tomorrow?

I am chartering the Thursday thru Sunday ... maybe we will bump into each other.

My plan is Mudhole on out looking for Bluefin. My log has June 6 as a magic day a few years in a row. Saturday the JCAA (I was going to join the parking lot at the Shrewsbury Rocks but I may change my mind. Need a few days to figure it out. Sunday is a sea bass day south of here.

Good luck and have fun (leaving the dock at 4:00AM),

Capt. Ed

Capt Ed,
Sounds like you will be busy.  I won't be getting out again until Saturday.
I have been catching fish south of Shark River, but nothing that would even come close to placing in the tourney.  I have to find a big one, and that will be somewhere north.  Maybe Red Church area or Shrewsbury.  I will probably be at both during the day.  I have a spot or two to try before I get to Shrewsbury, if they produce...if not, up to Shrewsbury.  Sandy Hook area is not out of the equation either.

Good luck to all.
