Title: Got My Boating Cert Today

Hats Off to Capt Dave Loveless for the great coarse he ran today for all us procrastinators t^
I must say I actually learned a thing or two.

Joe.  Capt Loveless is from Shark River and Knows your boat IrishAyes..  I threw him a card and he'll be stopping by, along with a few others.

92..  I got 4 out of 50 wrong..  I think the 4 i missed I was sleeping thru t^

The four questions Hotrod got wrong
Rod's answers are in red

1.  The bow is of a boat is
a.  the pointy end of the bow
b.  what my wife does when I come aboard
c.  I don't hunt with that, I only hunt with a shotgun,
d.  None of the above

2.  A float plan is
a.  What I order from DQ
b.  Where I intent to do my boating
c.  Where I intent to wind up after I fall of my boat reaching for a dock line
d.  None of the above

3.  When approaching a dock you should
a.  Yell for everyone to get out of the way
b.  Advise everyone of your insurance company and policy limits
c.  Approach slowly but surely
d.  None of the above

4.  A no wake zone means
a.  Operate at the speed necessay that allows for adequate steerage
b.  No dead people allowed within the zone
c.  What Rod was not when he took the test.
d.  None of the above

Thanks for the compliment on the course.  Always good to hear that we are not spouting a lot of garbage. I also hope this BSC requirement will eventually make it better for all of us.

Welcome Aboard sealife and thanks for the heads up on Herb in Pt. Pleasant and his photos.  I will have to look his site over and call him to see if it is all right to paint some of his shots.  I am doing a series if paintings of fish indigenous to NJ waters plus others right now I have a Blue Marlin on the easel. 

I hope Rod was a good pupil and didn't snore to loud. lol!!!
