As some of you may have noticed I am selling my boat. I have it listed online a few places and was contacted by the local Sea Ray dealer. He wants to market and show the boat and take a 15% commission.
Has anyone else every experienced this? Should I be wary of anything? He spoke of charging me a fee if the boat didn't sell-yet told me he has always sold every boat he put on his lot. I told him I am willing to give a percentage but am not paying a "no sell" fee.
Any advice would be appreciated.

exactly what you said
no sell no pay
also reserve the right to sell it yourself while it's listed with him. No commission to him unless he brings the buyer.

If he sells everything why would he even mention that? nts

read the contract, even if you sell it privatly, he will still get his commission.. I would just say.. screw it, do it yourself. You can easily advertise in the same ways he can, especially with today's internet access.

anything is negotiable in any proposed contract until it is agreed to and signed.
always reserve the right to sell it yourself
or walk away, and sell it yourself anyway.

Just do it yourself. Put flyers with your email address or phone number at the bottom in little strips and put them in the local stores and bait shops. Of course ask first so you dont get fined.

Thanks for the input guys.

15% seems a bit high. Being in the marine busines, the norm is 10%. If you have the time to deal with potential buyers, sell it yourself.
