Title: Crabbing with a flashlight????????????

Used to crab at night with a light and scoop net,,,  recently i was told by few people that its now illegal to do so, also was told that even is using a drop line at night u cant use the flashlight to see into the water and scoop the crab from the chicken leg.,...   

any truth to this????    ??? ???

I looked this up last year and unless they changed the rules it says nothing about using lights at night to crab.  If someone tells you that ask them to show you the reg.

It is like driving without shoes in NJ.  There is no statute that covers that.  This was tole to me by daughters Godfather who has 19 almost 20 year on the job. 

SOOOOOO like I said show me it in writing... t^

We used to do it all the time in SSP.

I heard that many years ago as well.  I don't think it's true.  Why not call the folks at Nacote Creek?  They should have the answer for you. t^
