Title: Boat Insurance
Post by: Greg7 on September 12, 2009, 12:02:52 AM
Is boat insurance mandatory now.  I thought back in the day it was optional but Im sure they changed it.  Buddies boat insurance just expired but it's still in the water and wants to fish with it a few more times before he takes it out of the water but he wasn't sure if insurance was mandatory.

If you are in a slip the marina most likely requires it.

Some  Marinas want to see a copy of the Policy to allow you to slip or launch at that location.
