Title: Mai Tai Bucktails
Post by: Capt. Ed on June 14, 2007, 06:35:48 PM
Hi All,

I spent an hour or so strolling through Fisherman's Supply (very cool to do when you have some time). Ron has some awesome, different and new things.

I picked up Mai Tai bucktails in 8 oz. SPRO only makes them to 6 ozs. I will post pictures later but these bucktails are impressive looking and have many of my favorite colors.

If you are looking to use as a bucktail as a weight when you need 8 oz., we now have an answer besides those chrome ball things.

Thanks,

Capt. Ed

Capt Ed,
I was in there for the first time about a month or so ago.  Very nice place to be checking out.  I will be back there again.   t^

Hi Irish Ayes,

It is easy for to drop some serious cash in there.

BTW, Ron is a top notch surf fisherman and has always found time to answer my questions.

Good luck to all,

Ed

Where is Fisherman's supply located?

NJ, here's the address and phone #

69 Channel Drive
Point Pleasant Beach, NJ
(732) 892-2058

Here is the directions from their website.
From the north,
Take Route 35 S and past the bridge over the Manasquan River to Point Pleasant.  After bridge follow signs “to Beach” and make a U-Turn onto Route 35 N.  Make the first right toward the beach, then the first left onto Channel Drive.  Store is ¼ mile on the right.

Now thats my speed.  I have been getting most of my terminal tackle there.  I like going to a good store that will stand behind their products as well knowing me personally.
