Title: Tuna-Tic Chicken Canyon Tuna - 9-14

Got a call from Capt Mike Sunday Night,  Who was running a charter on the Tuna-Tic to the Canyon asking if I wanted to Jump on and shot some Video.  t^

Packed up My gear and video camera.. Couldn't get a wink of sleep..  so I sat up all night doing some computer work and hit the road at 3:30 Am for Barnetgat Light.

Aboard was Member Axehandle and Family (I'll get to this in another post (http://njsaltwaterfisherman.com/forums/index.php?topic=13626.msg130060;topicseen#msg130060))
Broke the inlet around 6:Am arriving at the Canyon in about 3 hours..  to a fleet of maybe 15 boats.

Chatter on the radio was iffy.. Some picking up some small blue Fin.. but nothing to really boast about.

Set up on the jig and chunk with  some nice sized False Albies on the chunk giving the boys a run for their Money.

About 2 hours in,  the Floating Chunk Line got slammed by a Blue Fin right in front of Mate Mike.  After a tough battle Eric Jr. was able to get the fish to the side of the boat and the boys had their 1st fish in the over @ 48". The Fish went in the Box.. and Eric Jr hit the bunk ;D

Wasn't long after that.. Fish #2 on!  Russ (aka axehandle) battled this fish like a pro.. only to have the hook pull after a good 10 minute Fight. thud

Next Fish On..  The Boys Boated their Under. t^

It was great trip. Great Job Capt Mike and Mike (aka Reger1) for putting this Charter on the fish.

Good People.. Good Times.. and Great Video.. Makes you forget you were up for 42 Hours t^

Will be working the video today.

My pictures didn't come out that well.. I post better ones later. t^

Thanks for the koodos Rod! Glad you were able to make it. Your efforts made there day very special.  t^

Now they are able to share there fun with others, and relive it when needed. Great job shooting the video!  TT^

I know that they were happy and had a great time.
Now hopefully the bossman is happy.  ;)

Nice job Capt Mike!  It's cool Rod can get out with you and get video and pics.  Kind of a win win situation for all.

The bossman should be happy...fish were caught, the clients were happy, most importantly no one was injured, nothing was broken, he got a top notch report written and he made $$$ ;D.

Hey Mike, glad to see you aboard. Please allow me to introduce Mike Reger, the 1st. mate, and the main artery of the business. Without Mike none of these catches would be possible. Mike has worked for the Tuna-Tic for about a year now and has proved himself to be an asset and a great fisherman. I know when I am running the boat with Mike I will have a successful day.  rofla  Just finished it.. loaded it up.. checked it over 10 time...  had the wife sit down and watch it.. everything was great until she said

hay hot rod the video came out good t^less beeps then i thought nosmly not used to getting filmed sorry about that again and sorry about the post from this morn. just could not help myself  t^
