Title: Recommendations for Spincast Reel
Post by: Pfishingruven on September 23, 2009, 05:10:27 PM
Can anyone recommend a spincast reel to put on a kids rod?  After replacing the Lightning McQueen kids combo 3 times, I decided to find something more durable.  Boys and plastic reels don't mix too well ;D.  I picked up a couple of Ugly Stik Junior Rods and need to put reels with them.  I haven't ever shopped for a spincaster and haven't used one in years.  Any help would be appreciated.  Reel doesn't have to be spectacular, just durable and I would rather not have to replace it again(or not after 1 trip).

Thanks

Zebco 303 will work well.

The 22 is pretty good.  It's also fairly small  and fits little hands well.

Thanks guys!  I checked out both the Zebcos and I think I need to go even smaller for the rods.  Rods are only 3'8" so I think the 11 size series might be more what I need?

Anyone ever use any of the Shakespeare Synergy Series reels?

Thanks

Never heard of them?  Do you have a link or website to them?

Thanks
