Title: Fall Trout stocking

Fall Trout stocking begins on October 6th, state will be stocking 2 year old trout and Brood stock 3 years old Check NJ fish and game for areas to be stocked and amounts.
I can't wait for Oct 9th, I'll be on the Ramapo river with fly rod in hand.

Fall trout fishing is the best time to trout fish.  Hope to get in at least a day or so?  Anyone have any recommendations where to hit in Ocean County?

t^ t^Where on the ramapo do u fish? I grew up on that river in Oakland N.J My Aunt is rt on the river.I will be there in the am working.The river is low and clear.I sold the boat and want to do more walking and hitting the beach ;D

Glen Grey bridge or up by Bear Swamp Rd.

Sometimes the best laid plans go down the tubes. I wound up in doctors office instead of going fishing today.  >:( Back went out.
Hopefully I'll get out tomorrow morning. ;D

Got out today for a few hours this afternoon, lost one good size trout. Using 2lb test on light rod. Inconciderate fly fisherman waded right into the pool I was fishing. rgmn  >:(  Will try again Tuesday after the novelty wears off. ;D
