Hit up the island yesterday for some post-work clam chuckin'. 3 buddies and I arrived at 5:30 around the lower end of the tide with the top around 9:40pm. Set up shop about 200 yards south of the Judge's Shack. We deadsticked 4 rods with some tasty clams until we ran out around 9:30. 1st hit was on my rod a few minutes after 8. Beached a short bass. The second hit came on the last soak on my buddies rod. The hit was huge, but the fish didn't take the hook. Crabs seemed to be stealing our bait for the first half of the night, but calmed down as the night went on. There was also a good 60 lb. chunk of wood caught. rgmn It was a good night to be on the beach. I had forgot my jacket, and wasn't too cold. Not all that much action, but some good times on the sand. Hoping to get out again tonight. Seems a little nicer weather than yesterday so far!
There's a pretty good amount of beach erosion, some decent sized cuts and the entrance at A-7 was a little squirrelly. Make sure you air down properly.

Good going Jason, we will be out there around 6ish or so. Last week we did not hook up till sunup though. I am going to start down by the pocket as that was the game plan last week and it worked out great.
