In the surf this morning, beautiful sunrise, big waves had the surfers out, a decent amount of people fishing, caught no fish - not even bite. But thats how it goes! I dont mind sharing with the surfers, but when you keep crossing in front of guys casting lures to the point where one kid actually had my brother in laws line around him...then you are nts. Went over to the canal and finished the morning with some tog - so it wasnt a lost day.

Good try! TT^ At least there's the tog action. How'd you do over there today?
-
Good try
Nice to see some other surf reports from the Ocean Co area here t^

Bite was slow in the canal - we both took one home for the table though! so there are still keeper sized fish in there. They were hitting on clams - not the green crabs like we usually have success with. (We started with green crabs & switched to the clams) A lot of guys didnt catch anything at all tho. Luck helps sometimes! t^

At least you got something for the table. It is always good to just get out there. t^

Also fished PPB surf (south end) Sunday morning (6:30-9am). Water cleaned up a bit from Fri & Sat. Fished metals and a teaser w an added articial sand eel. Brought in 4 shorts (24-26") and two fluke. Stripers all on the teaser; all fished released for next year. Most effective was on the slowest retrieve possible, very slooooowwwwwww. Next weekend I'm actually going to throw the teaser with a sinker at the end instead of the lure just to see how that would work. Joe

Try by making a Hi Lo rig and putting 2 teasers and a bank sinker on, heck you just might get a double... ;D ;D
-
Thanks for the tip. I will try it and report back, teasers been getting all the action so far.

the double teaser, or high low rig has worked before. i have even seen it done with 3 teasers. usually works well with peanut bunker, sand eel, or spearing imitations.
