Ah.. I can't believe for $100 they are going to teach you that much. 5hrug I Guess my one bad experience with shows like this ruined me..
-
I went to last years show. It was held in Belmar. Worth the $$$. I will probably go again this year. t^
-
It's actually $107 , Can't forget the 7% tax for the state now can we? I'm in. <'((((><
-
Look at the venue...food there will be pretty good TT^
Crazy Alberto will also be speaking. One of the nicest guys and a wealth of fishing information.
I may even be manning a booth there. t^
-
Looks like a great lineup of speakers...tempting.
-
I look at it this way:
I could stay home on that Saturday, with the $100 in my pocket.
My daughter will want or need something for at least $50.
My wife will also want or need something for at least $100.
This will also include driving somehwere and some kind of work around the house or yard, and at the end of the day I'll need $20 worth of Whiskey to relax.
Now I've just spent $170 on a normal Saturday at home, happens all the time.
OR:
I could spend my $100 on the show and enjoy a relaxing day out making new friends, eating some good food, and learning a thing or two about fishing, all while saving myself $70 ! ;D <'((((><

Fishing Dude's logic makes pretty good sense. I was not going to go then I read his post and said, I should go. However, glad I checked my work schedule and I am working that weekend, so I am out.
I was looking at the Saltwater Sportsman's show in Feb. Is that worth going to? My case; I am an experienced fisherman, but I just moved up here so I do not have any experience fishing the Jersey coast. However, I think my experience along VA and NC will carry me over, but looking for that good local knowledge. Y'all's thoughts?

I will be doing this seminar. Already signed up for it. t^
Hope to do the Saltwater Series also. Will have to see how things pan out.
As Bucktail posted in a different thread, go to the Somerset show (info on front page), lots of free seminars there. t^
-
if u plan to go to this one, buy ur tickets now. i heard a week ago that it almost sold out.
-
It sold out quickly last year. They do keep it to a pretty reasonable crowd.
-
It looks pretty cool. t^ Some of the topics are intriguing. But, I'm having a problem choosing five seminars that I really want to see.
For those of you going, what seminars do you plan to sit in on?
-
Bob, for me it will be a choice from #s 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 18, 19 and 20. Will have to see the times, etc and make a decision from there.
Oh yeah, the lunch seminar should be first class. TT^
-
Since my schedule wasn't going to allow me to go to the Saltwater Sportsman Show, I woke up this morning with the intent of signing up for this show. Unfortunately, it is now sold out! _:"

Bob, Chris, Joe, & Rod, it was great to ee you guys at bthe show, Bob, belated goodbye, since I did not get to tell you in person.
For those of you who were not there, it was filled with some quality info and products. Some of the seminars were hard to hear the speakers, due to vendors attempting to market their products and mini clinics being conducted in the same room.
Bob, Joe, and I won some door prizes, better then nothing. (Better prizes are in store for our annual Banquet TT^) Food was OK, speakers and other attendees were great, not bad for a rainy day. Asbury tomorrow. <'((((><
-
Great seeing you Darren! Sorry for not saying goodbye. I cut out a little early, while the last seminars were still in progress. And it still took forever to get home with this weather. :-\
See y'all Friday! t^
-
I enjoyed the show. t^
-
Darren hit the nail on the head.
As for the seminars, the ones geared towards the surf were great, especially Crazy Alberto. Well worth the price of admission, at least for me. I've got like 5 pages of notes. i feel like my head is gonna explode with all the info I took in.
And as always, it was great to see the guys from here slt
-
Nice seeing you there Chris. I didn't sit in on the Crazy Al seminar, but I've seen him before. He does give a lot of great info and is very entertaining. t^
