Title: Capt.Ron/Fishermen/New Big Fish Pool Leader....
Post by: 1captainron on November 05, 2009, 04:44:35 PM
"Mortgage Man" ERIC is our new BIG FISH pool leader landing a very nice 21 pounder today. Although, not the biggest on the boat (and not to bust his bubble) but 10 year old Markez had a 24 pounder, but didn't enter the fall special. Eric landed 2 beauties, the second being a 17 pounder plus a couple that had to go back.
Tougher fishing today. Started out the morning with the last of the incoming, looked like what I thought was going to be a banner day when the first couple fish broke 20lbs. Couple keepers, couple shorts than that was it. Took a bit of a ride waiting for the change, only to find way too many Horn Dogs once again. Ran back to the North after the change and could never get past a slow, one, one pick. Great to see some bigger fish though.
I'm sure tomorrow with the 25 knot wind and a bit of snot, they will be hungry!! Capt.Ron
