Because of the high winds out of the NE the tides will be pounding the beaches and the dunes pretty hard. What will happen is once the park is open it will only be open during periods of low tide till the sand is re deposited again that will allow veh's the ability to pass at high tide.
Your best bet is to call the office at 732-793-0506 and find out before making a drive out there.

No rain and winds in Ringwood yet.I was staying at LBI for the week end and they don't have to much beach left.The tide came right up to the dunes 5hrug

It will get worse as the blow continues. I am sure this will have the local Emergency Managers out late tonight and there might be some evacuations as well. Not a fun time for them. I remember it all to well, I would rather be inside nice and warm.

No surprise on the park closing. I'm sure it will be that way most of the weekend.
I don't even want to see how bad the beach gets beat up after this one. nosmly

Was just over in Seaside heights to check out the storm. Sand was coming over the dunes and covering the streets and sidwalks pretty good. Looked like snow drifts. Not alot of water but windy as all hell and sandy!

Did the samething up in Lavallette. there was snow like drifts on one of the ocean front houses and the guys car was in the front of the drift OR should i say Dune nts
