Decided to try someting different this past year and keep the boat in Tuckerton...There MAY be some fish down there but I sure couldn't catch them. Not one striper of any size and no fluke over 12" for the whole year...not to mention shallow water, greenheads and swarms on gnats.
I actully got discouraged and didn't fish much later in the season.
I'm happy to say I'll be back in my "home" waters of Keyport next year. Can't wait for spring!

Good luck next year. The greenheads alone keep me from going to the Tuckerton area. ;D
If it is any consolation, some folks I know told me that they did not have a great season in that area either. One guys actually stopped fishing on his boat and came out on mine so he could bring home some fish as our area (Belmar) was producing and his was not.

thats too bad. the striper run down here was fantastic this year. i lost count how many fish were brought into my marina.
