Title: Gloves?

 What kind of gloves do you folks wear when fishing this time of year?  chrz

Kind of depends on what I am doing on the boat, most of the time I wear the wool glove liners from the military leather gloves. They are light and you have dexterity, besides with wool you still retain warmth when wet.

I also use neopreme gloves in the colder weather......

I like Glacier Gloves with a polyproplene or mylar glove liner underneath. t^

I personally favor "carpenter" gloves. The type you can purchase in Home depot. I switch it up a little bit, and use the carpenter gloves, or just little wool "fitted" gloves. Really anything that says "Windproof" would be better then anything. I have wind proof gloves that are so warm, I have to take them off after a while! The windproof gloves I usually use to rid my quad in the winter. They are made for motorcycles really, but I use them to ride in the snow/cold.

As for gloves for dealing with those pesky slippery things we call fish, I prefer "Lindy" gloves, as they are grippy, protective, but not bulky.

If its not too cold i like the cheap ones that you can get at home depot for like $4, the ones with the blue latex/rubber palms and fingers and the cloth backs.  Durable and flexible. But in the cold, i find neoprene Snowbees work well.

I like the neoprene gloves I use for kayaking.  They are warm fingers are free and they have leather on the inside of the fingers and palm.  Warm and durable when handling fish.

Neoprene is kind of a must, or something waterproof this time of year.  The Lindy's and Glacier Gloves are really nice and not wallet breakers.  I used to wear, plain old wet suit gloves before they made them all nice and fancy!

Whatever glove, you have to make sure they fit well so you still have the dexterity you need.

I have waterproof Calcuttas, They are good but a bit loose fitting.

honestly just tried a pair of walmart Berkley Neoprene gloves with the extra dexterity index finger and thumb slippovers they are great and i was fishing today in the cold

run ya 15 bucks

I have two different pair: Neoprene and  Latex Blue with grippers on the palm.Depends on how and whats doing.

i really like these chota gloves if my hands arent going to be in the water doing stuff,  they are fleece so they keep you warm if they get wet and they are wind proof and water resistant.
