Fellow Anglers,
Just to remind everyone that the Saltwater Fishing Expo is now ONLY one month away (March 19 thru 21, 2010) so mark your calendar's now so you don't forget one of, if not, the BEST saltwater fishing shows on the northeast. All vendor spaces have been just about filled with great deals on tackle, rods, reels and rigs as well as rep's from some of the top charter captains in New Jersey to book your fishing trips, or just to answer some of your fishing questions.
I'll be at the same location as last year (turn left as you enter the main show floor) giving out some "free-be's" (can't tell you just yet) and free Reel Fun T-Shirts to anyone who books a charter with me at the show. As an added attraction, my 1st Mate Mark will be there Saturday, the 20th, demonstrating how to throw the cast nets we use for netting the live fresh bunker we use on our Striper charters. He's pretty damn good, so don't miss his demonstration.
The Saltwater Expo is at the Garden State Exhibit Center, Rt 287 & Easton Ave. in Somerset, NJ. It runs Friday from 12-8, Saturday from 10-6 and Sunday from 10-5. **By the way, Saturday the 20th, is the FIRST DAY OF SPRING....!
This is THE saltwater fishing show of the year in New Jersey.... so don't miss it!!!.
Tight Lines,
Capt. John

You are absolutely correct in that this is the best saltwater fishing show in the state or the area for that matter.

Does anyone agree that the hand stamps were too big?
I thought the show was great. I was like a kid in a candy store.
-
;) yeah jeff, they were kind of big
-
Missed it this year, too much going on this past weekend. fcp
-
Funny, that hand stamp was a bit rediculous. As we were leaving, Kezsr sticks his hand out to let the guy stamp him, stupid me I follow suit and let him stamp my hand. I looked at Kezsr and said why did we just get stamped, we're going home! ??? The expo itself was pretty massive. First time for me, definately a good way to shake off the cabin fever. Bought a few things as well. I was surprised to see they sell alcohol there. I could only imagine what they charge for a beer?
-
$4.50 chrz <'((((><
-
That's waaaaaay to much, but not bad compared to a sporting event at the Meadowlands! chrz Wen't to Kezsr's afterward's and got a beer for free! t^ Well, it was free for me. ;D

you didnt miss much.. no real good deals.. hell i found a ton of deals on the net or just take to local shops
-
Capt. Joey G is absolutely right. About the expo prices, their were a few bargain prices..... but for the most part, you could get the same price at your local dealer. My Dad Kezsr has been looking to find a new reel for offshore wreck trips. He is looking at the Shimano Torium 30 cause he likes mine. I didn't see a vendor selling them for less than $199, which I paid about 14 months ago. On a side note.... and I have have a bad habit of making side notes! I was considering gettin a power handle and talked to the Shimano reps, they said by no means would they ever reccomend it. The dealer rep said if you ever want you can adjust your stock handle length slightly (which I Know)
