What is the overall opinion on the best live or fresh bait for flounder?
-
Squid? At least that's what I think I used. 5hrug

yeah ive caught plently on silversides and bunker but not really sure if thats the best
-
Live Peanut Bunker t^ At least that what I think Bobber uses t^

Just like most other fish, different baits catch better than others at certain times (seasons) and locations.
That being said, peanuts and snapper blues can be dynamite anytime! t^

whs but I would have to add live, JUMBO Killies. But live doesn't really matter. I use fresh, jumbo smelt and Gulp!
-
Fresh GULP and any color as long as its chartreuse. ;D
-
Squid and Kills... Just my opinion. Has always worked well. ;D
-
Live PeanutBunker, Live Small Snappers, Jumbo (Tiger) Kellies,
Fresh Squid, Fresh Bunker Strips, Fresh Blue Fish Strips, Smelts, Spearing, Peeler Crabs or small calico crabs

Snappers & Herring !

Live spot if you can get em, very expensive but effective for door mats.

My suggestion would be "catch your own" Seine, cast net,Killie traps, umbrella net they all catch bait. Bring a couple of kids snapper fishing and a live well.Well worth the effort. You'll be a hero t^ Gulp is a top producer and at times is better than bait but can be expensive. At 9-10 bucks for killies not really though.I like fresh dead baits too. Sea robbin strips or dogfish strips and they're free !Bluefish belly strips too. There are so many fluke out there. Catch your own bait then you can choose but "everything works" ;D
