Post by: Luna Sea 5 on January 17, 2010, 08:40:36 PM
These are the next 2 I am going to look at late this week.  The Mako just wasn't for me.

Nick.  The wellCraft.. Nice boat.  Loks like it was well maintained.. but the year Scares Me.. That boat is 23 years Old....

The Donzi.  all that Boat and only a 9'2 Beam. and again.. 20+ years old..

IMO.  Beam Means a lot t^

this it very true Rod.  For the price I want to spend, for the size boat I want, I have to go older.  BUT.. both boat has engines with less hours then my Luna Sea 3 since they were re-done.  My Luna Sea 3 had a 8 1/2' beam, but either one I choose, I will be upsizeing.. thanks for the advice.. keep'em coming.

Just remember.  there is "What you'd like to spend"  and "what you should spend  t^

With the type of fishing you do.
The Beautiful LunaSea you No Longer have...
You need to be going with option #2  t^

And what type of boat do you want?
Looking at those 2 boats there total opposite of each other.

My Luna Sea 3 was a 26' CC.

I now want at 28-30' WA with shore power, as I want a boat more comfortable if/when I take my very young kids on it.

So far I can't seem to find what I like.

The donzi was an alternative.  It is a 33' CC, but also has a cabin in the front, so it will serve its purpose and since it is a 33', it will have more room then my Luna Sea 3.

I know with my budget I won't be able to afford what I want in a newer boat, so I am looking for older with newer power, just like these two have.
