Just curious what most fishermen like to use, artificial lures or bait. I prefer to use lures for most of my fishing. Whether it’s fresh or salt.
-
I like to use lures for all of my fishing as well. It is more convenient and I like the freedom of it. I like the little extra challenge too. However, I do bait fish occasionally and the bait does seem to produce more and bigger fish a good part of the time...especially when freshwater fishing with live bait.

That's funny, because I have had the exact opposite experience. Most of all my bigger fish have come on artificials (in fresh and salt). t^

Yes. I will say Bob is a great lure fisherman t^

Just like using them a lot! ;D

i do use lures alot but atleast 70% of my catch is brought on super fresh or live bait

I agree with Rod...you are a great lure fisherman, Bob slt!
Love using lures and learning how to fish all of them. I still have lots to learn.

I enjoy using lures and heaven knows I have enough of them ans lost my share of them, but I have to say I have caught most of my bigger fish on what ever was around for natural bait. Mostly clams or fresh bunker seem to work best off the surf.
Oh and as for Bob, I look at it this way he has the law of averages on his side with all the rods he brings along he is bound to catch something. grtn

AS the waters warm up in the spring I like to use lures but early spring bait. Fall fishing is all lures for me. I do snag bunker and this has produced the biggest bass for me in recent years. ;D

PS, I voted artificial ;D

I like the fresh stuff, BUT man do I love lures.
I can't collect bait (wife still complaining about the bait in the garage frig) rofla rofla
But there is always a metal or plug that fools me ,I mean the fish. rofla clp
The solution is Bait on days that end in Y and Lures on days that end in Y. TT^
Hope that help !!!! ;)

I prefer lures over bait too. But that's why I bring 2
poles reels, sorry. hhppy
I'll fall asleep if I only had bait rigged. 5hrug

i just barely give the nod to artificials. I find catching fish on artificials to be more satisfying and frankly more fun. However, if i cared about nothing but sheer results, bait would probably be my choice too.
