Title: Still looking for Luna Sea 4.. Best option yet...
Post by: Luna Sea 5 on January 24, 2010, 05:57:49 PM
I saw the Donzi today.  Nice ride, but a bit much for what I need, and believe it or not, not alot of fishing room.

BUT.. this deal in the link seems to be top notch, with twin 225 Mercs, new with only 54 hours on them.. and its a GRADY with a 9 1/2' beam..

I .. Like them Both.

The Grady I love them but I think Jawz in going to tear that boat apart....Been there Done That ;D.

The Aquasport. Nice Ride Nick. I would only be concerned with the fact that they are Gas Engines.

Not sure how anyone can knock a Grady, especially with 54 hours on the engines.  With twin 225's, it must fly.

O Boy.  Now you did it..  From what I recall. something to do with ROT and Stringers. But lets see what he says.  But I also recall these are things you just have to look out for in these older grady's

No offence but I am sure everything your saying about the boat will be caught by my surveyor.  This is what I am hiring him for, right.  There are may stages of buying a boat.  The first one is exactly where I am, looking online.  Next is in person, then finally have a surveyor look at it.  At the moment I tured down 4 after I saw them, even though they looked good during the first stage.

29 aquasport tournement fishermen ??? a friend of mine had one of these...i went fishing on it once, that was enough...didn't have range to go anywhere, the thing sucked fuel like a jet,and it was slower than a sea turtle...
"new manifolds and risers,in 2005",these are due for replacement again, they're goos for about 4-5yrs max...original engines ?? electronics ??
see where i'm going with this ??

ride ?? you're kidding...you think a 17 whaler montauk rides bad,this aquasport is a close second...

Ditto....have a friend who had one...heavy and slow....  not a nimble fishing machine...he had a hard time selling it.
