Title: Anyone know about NMEA wiring?

Does anyone know if I can run NMEA out of my plotter and T it so it feeds the radio and radar?

Hey Rick,

Is that the Radar I sold you? If so the nmea cable should have 2 pairs a in and out.

So are you saying hook the plotter to the in of the radar and then the out to the radio?

That was how I had it working on my boat. What radio and chart plotter do you have?

To answer your original question, "can you just find the correct pairs and twist them together", yes if the all speak the same language.

However I would make temporary connections, and bench test before you commit too much time and effort...
