OK...someone has a gun to your head and says that you have to pick 1 rod and reel from your current arsenal to use all year exclusively for all trips. Not including tuna/offshore. If you also fish freshwater then you get to pick one for that too.
Describe your picks...
mine:
Salt: A 7' MH St Croix spinner rated for 15-20 lb line paired with a Shimano Spheros 4000 spooled with 20lb PP. Caught tons of stripers, blues and fluke with it. Enough backbone for chunking/livelining and can cast lures and jig too. I think it could handle bottom fishing up to 8oz.
Fresh: 6'6" Falcon spinner rated for 6-12lb line with a Daiwa SS spooled with 8lb mono. The rod is fairly new but I like it a lot.

Lami Inshore Classic IC 70 MH Conventional
Avet SX w/30 lb Suffix Braid

Hers the One I am keeping... It never fails me! The Rod And Reel Tavern!
-
8 ft Lami w/Penn Squidder.
My next in line would be Jhonny Walker and a Cigar. ;D

Inside and outside? 5hrug That would be tough. :headscra: One for the ocean and one for back bay might be a little easier. ;)
Ocean: 6'3" Shimano Trevala F with a Shimano Curado 300 spooled with 40# Sufix braid.
Bay: 7' St. Croix Legend Inshore with a Shimano Stradic 3000 FI spooled with 20# Sufix braid.
