As I mentioned in another post the park is closed till further notice. Before venturing out call either the front gate 24/7 (732-793-0030), or the office (732-793-0506) from 9:00 A.M - 4:30 P.M.
The beach was hit hard and no vehicles are allowed on so, it looks like mother nature is keeping us hostage for a while.
If you are looking to get out the piers are all accessible so give them a try.
I will be taking pictures and posting soon of the mess at the beach. Just to give you an idea the beach at Ortley has a cliff of about 10' that was gouged out of the dunes. And the clean up in the Heights and the Park are underway to remove all the sand from the streets.
If you are going to venture down that area is a mess from the with roads closed for road work along the ocean and the main road has detours for road work as well. Be Careful...

Sorry about the news but the season has just begun and there is not to much happening just yet. So relax, look at that catalog for the umpteenth time and dream.

nosmly The beaches need a break. Storm after storm after storm. The weather the last 6 months hasn't given the beaches a chance to recover.
