Title: Replace Gps cable
Post by: Reckless on March 20, 2010, 02:15:57 PM
I have a Garmin GPS antenna and the cable is shot. There is a rubber boot where it goes into the antenna but I can't see how it comes off. Any help appreciated.

Thanks!!

Jeff, I think that one if for a car GPS. The GPS and antenna on a boat will be different.

that one is for a car. I can't see how it disconnects from the antenna itself.

Type your model number, select marine, and select GPS here (http://www8.garmin.com/support/userManual.jsp) Once again, it's installation instructions, but it may help.

I think the Antenna unscrews in to 2 pieces.. and it allows you to attach the wires.. and then put it back together.
