Title: where do I get mussles

with flounder season comming soon I want to get a bunch of mussels for chum and bait ,can anyone tell me where to get them.do I need a permit to pull them off the rocks or can I buy them in bulk

Try either Spring Lake Freezer or Julians.....I buy a lot of bait from the local Chinese Grocery.......Fresh stuff.....in lieu of mussels I grind up clams to put in my chum log, have not seen a difference ;)

I didnt even think spring lake would sell them ,we deal w/ them all the time on the pier so I'll call and see what they say

Chinese markets are great...me and my dad go there and buy one of those huge squid they have each year...lasts all summer for flounder.
