Caught my first striper today out of the Delaware river.
Had the drag set very loose, dropped my line, and there went the reel!
After the long and grueling fight, I finally managed to get him on deck. Man what a catch!
I then proceeded to grab my yardstick to find that the fish was about 24" short. Close, but no cigar.
