Title: Rope clamps?

  I know you can splice your own eyes but this would make life easier. Whats your opinions?  slt

I still use the splice,schackle and gimble method(or variations of that method)where possible.
I have used the rope clamps that the rope comes through the other side of the clamp and they have held up good.Never used the ones shown in the pics. however.Note:the rope does NOT come through the other side; they appear similar in design to a METAL/ CABLE clamp.

The clamps seem to work well on corded rope. I never tried to splice corded rope as seen in the picture.

Looks like a good Idea to me for the DIAMOND braid style of rope. Personaly I don't use Diamond braid because I can't braid it like triple braid..... ;D
