Anyone else hear about the planes  flying low over the beach by the verrazano area?? ??? What was that all about ?

Yes, while hailing Sea Tow today, heard MANY people mention and report 2 low flying airplanes by Verazano/Conery Island area. Flying as low as 100 above water and beach.

I heard it in the AM.  One call said they were 20 feet off the water.  CG didn't seem concerned.  They probably knew what was up but weren't saying.  Probably all innocent but does make you stop and think.  :o

Didnt hear anything about it until now. With all this BS going on in the world, and the threats of terror attacks this summer, makes you wonder what the heck is going on. Stuffs pretty scary if you ask me.  ???
