Title: night time bass
Post by: Bradway5 on August 13, 2010, 10:02:58 AM
been taking the yak out at dusk for some night time bass fishing in a small local pond. was doing fairly well on the fly rod with dark deerhair flies i've tied, and some dark colorado bladed spinnerbaits. nothing to big, but it was consitent, then the last 3 days have been dead. also rolled the yak in a foot of water trying to rush getting in!  rofla boy did i get the jackars award for that one! a 6-2 240 lb man falling in the water might have given the bass lockjaw! hope ya'll doin better than I!  slt

It might of been some strong fronts passing through.  Not much rain but the barometer did take a dip.

As far as rolling the yak.  I did it all the time in the bay, now I have outriggers and it is nice and stable, although a bit sluggish but I can now feel safe bringing out some photography equipment.

Happy Catching

I wish I could be that comfortable with my photo gear! Im afraid to even hold my camera by the strap. Im just waiting for the time something comes lose and it slams into the ground. It never will but im paranoid! haha
