Anglers:

Today was a return trip from some great guys/girls from The "Bert Slough" crew. Even though he is a Marine we wont hold that against him TT^ TT^.

Set off out of Little Creek headed due East till we get to the canyon. Rode out to some of the flatest seas I've seen all year. Not even a ripple in the water.

Arrive at the fingers and get the spread out. Troll up on a lone conch pot or long line bouy and immediately hook up with a Fat Albert. Then its off to deeper water. Once we hit the edge of the canyon the left long gets nailed. Gaffer Mahi commits suicide on the G&H Seawitch. If your not running these in your spread you got to add some. Mate Capt. Green easily slides the fish to the ice. Back on the troll and have "Whitey" show up. The bill knocks down and cuts off every ballyhoo in the spread and doesn't come tight. As we reload I point the "Kaylyn" north and we spot a white sunning on the surface. Practically run over him and he's not interested the least. grtn Then the grinding begins, everyone switches over to eating mode and eat they did. Like 50lbs of turkey and seven loafs of bread in no time. Got to be proud of that. I was. Must be a marine thing!!! slt slt

Then after they reload its "Game On" I spot a lonely water bottle and a piece of rubber in the water and the mahi attack. Then for 2.5 hrs its work out time "On Course Style" Mahi everywhere and the crew puts a whoopin on them. This trip another Jack Crevalle was mixed in. I can't figure what these Jacks are doing so far out and mixed in schools of mahi??? Anyway...get the boat bloody and the box "Full". The crew stows the sword and we all enjoy a great 3 hr ride back to the barn.

Enjoy the pics!!
