Title: Allstate Boat Insurance sucks!
Post by: mboy on July 11, 2007, 10:05:00 AM
Know more then a couple of people who have recently had overheating problems with their engines (plastic bag wrapping around prop, etc) and Allstate DOES NOT cover overheating of ANY KIND.

I am EXTREMELY glad I did not go with them.

I checked my Policy and it is not listed on the rather short list of exclusions for my policy AND they were cheaper the Allstate.

For all those with alstate, better check your policies, then find a new provider.

The Boat US Ins is pretty good, never had a problem and very reasonable ;D

My best deal when I shopped around 9Boat US, Progressive, Allstate) was Charter Lakes (Inmar is the underwriter).
least expensive and seems to be pretty good coverage.

Agreed upon value, no depreciation, oilfuel spill coverage, 500k liability and very few exclusions on list. $500 decdutible and my isnurance is like $430 for the year.
